Huelva, 15 December 2025. – Hudisa, a European leader in the industrial processing of berry fruits, has been awarded the International Development Award at the 19th edition of the Huelva Business Awards, organised by the Huelva Business Federation (FOE) and the Cajasol Foundation, in collaboration with Aguas de Huelva and Gabitel Ingenieros. The award was collected today by the company’s president, Antonio Tirado.
This recognition highlights Hudisa’s solid export track record, its contribution to the international positioning of Huelva’s berries, and its role as a driving force behind the province’s agro-industrial development. The company, made up of 19 berry cooperatives, has managed to integrate the entire value chain in the production of purées, concentrates, and frozen fruit, exceeding 10 million kilos processed annually and maintaining a presence in more than 30 countries on five continents.
An international profile built on Huelva’s identity
In 2024, Hudisa achieved a turnover of 14.6 million euros, of which more than 10.8 million came from exports. This sustained growth has been consolidated thanks to stable agreements with ICEX, FIAB, and Andalucía Trade, as well as its commitment to conventional, baby food, and organic production lines, which have established the company as the leader in the sector in southern Europe.
For Antonio Tirado, this award ‘is a source of pride that we share with all the cooperatives that make up Hudisa and, most especially, with the farmers who cultivate the excellence of Huelva’s berries every day’. The president stressed that the recognition “reinforces our mission to bring the quality, innovation, and agricultural identity of our province to the world. Every new market we conquer is an open door to Huelva’s international projection.”
Tirado also highlighted that this award ‘highlights a business model based on collective effort. Hudisa was born out of the commitment of cooperatives that understood that unity was the key to transforming fruit into a global product without losing our roots. Today we are an international benchmark because our farmers are.’
Innovation, industry, and sustainability at the service of the region
The advanced industrialisation of berries has enabled Hudisa to promote a stable, productive fabric, which in 2024 had 94 workers, and to preserve the added value of the fruit within the region. Tirado stressed that “our international growth would be meaningless without a commitment to generating opportunities in Huelva. Every technological advance, every innovation in our production lines, and every improvement in efficiency seeks to strengthen the rural economy and the future of the sector.”
He also focused on the importance of sustainability as a strategic axis: “We want to compete in the most demanding markets in the world, and that means producing with responsibility, transparency, and guarantees. Agriculture in Huelva is an example of effort and professionalism, and it is our duty to ensure that its international image lives up to that merit.”
An award that honours the efforts of the agricultural sector in Huelva
The president of Hudisa stressed that this award ‘recognises the silent work of thousands of farmers who, with dedication and sacrifice, have made Huelva a world leader in berries.’ He added that ‘they are the essence of the project; their pride and effort are the energy that drives Hudisa to continue growing’.
The award given to Hudisa adds to an outstanding track record of national and international recognition, such as the recent SME Award for Internationalisation 2025 awarded by IFEMA Madrid, the Award for Agri-Food Excellence 2024, the 2023 Food Transformation Award, the 2023 SME of the Year Award, and the 2019 Internationalisation Award, consolidating its leadership in the sector.

Alongside Hudisa, nine other companies have been recognised in this edition, which rewards innovation, leadership, sustainability, and job creation in the province. These include: Grupo Medina, Don Fadrique Context, NatureSpace Jabugo, Growersgo, Marina del Odiel, Confitería Rufino, Platalea, Instituto Español and Kaizen Hoteles (Hotel La Malvasía).
