Lepe (Huelva), Monday, February 9, 2026. Nuremberg will once again become the global epicentre of organic food, sustainability and innovation from February 10 to 13, with a new edition of BIOFACH, the largest international gathering of the organic sector. Thousands of companies, professionals and experts will come together to showcase the latest trends and developments shaping the future of organic food.

Among the key participants at this event will be Hudisa, southern Europe’s leading berry processing company, which will actively participate in this edition, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability, circular economy and industrial innovation. The company will present its advances in the development of its Bio line, currently in full expansion, as well as the initiatives it is implementing to make its operations increasingly environmentally friendly.

Hudisa was born from the shared effort and vision of 19 berry-producing cooperatives in Huelva, Europe’s largest production area. This vertical integration has enabled them to process industrial fruit efficiently and sustainably, establishing themselves as a benchmark for quality and environmental commitment.

With over 6,000 m2 of facilities strategically located in the heart of the province of Huelva, Hudisa guarantees the arrival of fruit in optimal conditions from the field to the processing plant. Its modern concentrate, aseptic packaging and freezing lines ensure maximum preservation of the product’s organoleptic qualities, with a daily production capacity reaching 350 tonnes.

The company processes and markets purées, concentrates and frozen fruit from strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, covering three product lines: Conventional, Babyfood and Bio. With an annual production potential exceeding 20 million kilos, Hudisa continues to strengthen its leadership in the European market and its commitment to sustainable development.

As stated by Joaquín Malagón, CEO of Hudisa, “BIOFACH is much more than a trade fair; it is the major international meeting point where the future of food is defined. For Hudisa, being here means reaffirming our commitment to sustainability and innovation in an increasingly conscious and demanding market.”

BIOFACH 2026: innovation, knowledge and global connections

BIOFACH is the essential annual meeting point for all companies in the organic food value chain: from production and processing to distribution and international trade. The event brings together leading brands and new players in the sector in an environment that promotes the exchange of experiences, the creation of synergies and the promotion of innovative products.

“Participating in BIOFACH 2026 is essential,” states Malagón, “to strengthen our international partnerships and showcase the excellence of Huelva berries, one of Europe’s most fertile and sustainable regions.”

Over four days, the fair will offer an extensive programme of activities, presentations and conferences within the BIOFACH Congress, addressing key topics such as consumption trends, sustainable agricultural techniques and regulatory challenges that will shape the sector’s future.

Furthermore, BIOFACH is established as a strategic platform for public relations and networking, bringing together more than 400 international media outlets from over 20 countries, making it a unique opportunity to strengthen brand visibility and establish global partnerships.

In this context, Hudisa will take advantage of its participation to present its range of organic products and share its experience in integrating sustainable practices within the agri-food industry, thus reaffirming its role as a driver of innovation and responsible development in the berry sector.
