Lepe, Huelva, 28 April 2025.  Hudisa, the leading company in southern Europe in the processing and marketing purées, concentrates, and frozen berries from the province of Huelva, has reached an important milestone in the food industry. For the third consecutive year, it has achieved the highest qualification, successfully passing the rigorous audit tests that have awarded it the AA certification in BRC Food Safety, the most demanding food quality and safety standard in the world.

This achievement places Hudisa at the top of the soft fruit processing sector. It is one of only two companies in Spain to obtain this maximum qualification in berry processing. Furthermore, only four companies in Europe have managed to achieve this certification, consolidating Hudisa as an international benchmark in food safety and quality.

For Joaquín Malagón, Hudisa’s CEO, ‘BRC Food Safety certification at AA level represents the highest level of compliance within this food safety standard’ and this allows, among other things, ‘significantly improving the possibility of entering new markets and international clients’. It is a seal of excellence, he stresses, “which not only implies regulatory compliance, but also leadership and responsibility in the food industry”.

The BRC Food Safety certification, awarded by the British Retail Consortium, is a global standard that evaluates aspects related to food quality, safety, and legality. Obtaining the AA category demonstrates Hudisa’s commitment to the highest levels of excellence, guaranteeing the reliability of its products to distributors and supermarkets.

In addition to the AA certification in BRC Food, Hudisa has additional international accreditations, such as IFS Food, SMETA, SGF, CAAE, HALAL, KOSHER, ISO 14001, and FDA, which reinforce its commitment to food safety and quality in all its processes.
