Since 1964, sixty years ago, it has been an essential event in the world of innovation and marketing.

Lepe, 18 October 2024. Every two years, producers, importers, buyers and retailers meet in Paris for five days at SIAL, the leading trade fair for the European agri-food sector. The 2022 edition saw more than 7,000 participants representing 126 countries, 17 of which were taking part in the fair for the first time. 88% of exhibitors were of international origin, demonstrating the global nature of the fair. Hudisa once again takes its products to Paris. This year the fair celebrates its 60th anniversary.

As the leading company in southern Europe in terms of the quantity of processed berriess, Hudisa not only presents its portfolio of products and processes but also shows its potential as an international benchmark. It is currently present in more than 30 countries and on 5 continents.

One of the aspects that most attracted the attention of the professionals at the fair is how, to guarantee quality, products, and services, Hudisa has managed to develop its own system that guarantees that less than 24 hours pass from the time the produce is picked in the field until it arrives at the facilities, thus ensuring the organoleptic qualities of the raw material. During this period, and after rigorous quality control, it is guaranteed that only healthy fruit at optimum ripeness is received in the process, avoiding unripe white fruit, leaves, stalks, and foreign bodies, as well as the absence of rot and infections. In this way, it is verified that the quantity, quality, and other characteristics correspond to the standards established by the company. In addition, the proximity of the production areas to the processing plant means that the fruit arrives in optimum condition.

A total of 300,000 visitors from 194 countries attended SIAL 2022. About 50% of these participants were importers or exporters and 8,000 high-level buyers with a combined purchasing portfolio of more than 50 billion euros.

As in the case of exhibitors, the visitors were very international in character, exactly 75%. On a European level, France had the largest representation, and on a global level, the United States. The fair expects to surpass these figures in this new edition.
