The company will attend the “World of Private Label” trade fair, which brings together the main business platforms in Europe
The Andalusian company specialising in processed fruit solutions will be present at the 2025 edition of the World of Private Label International Exhibition, one of the largest professional meetings of the food and beverage sector in Europe.
Lepe, 20 May 2025 – Hudisa, national leader in fruit processing for the food industry, will participate for the first time in the prestigious PLMA “World of Private Label” fair, which will be held on 20 and 21 May at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam. This international event brings together every year manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers of the food and beverage sector around Private Label, consolidating itself as one of the main business platforms at the European level.
Hudisa’s presence at this event is a strategic milestone for the company, which is committed to the internationalisation of its products and to opening up new business opportunities in the private label channel. With more than two decades of experience in the fruit and vegetable sector, Hudisa is coming to Amsterdam to position its wide range of processed fruit solutions – purées and concentrates – among the main international private label players.
A key platform for growth
For almost 40 years, the World of Private Label show organised by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) has established itself as the global epicentre for private labels. The 2025 edition will bring together more than 2,500 exhibiting companies from over 70 countries, and thousands of retail, distribution and manufacturing professionals are expected to attend.
In this context, Hudisa disembarks at PLMA with a clear focus: to show the added value of its products and sustainable processes, as well as to explore agreements with distribution chains that are committed to natural, healthy and traceable ingredients.
‘This fair represents a great opportunity to strengthen our international strategy and present our products to potential European business partners,’ says Joaquín Malagón, CEO of Hudisa. “Our goal is to become a trusted benchmark for private label brands looking for quality, functional, and sustainable fruit solutions.
Andalusian value with European projection
Located in Lepe, one of the main berry-producing areas in Europe, Hudisa is the result of a collaboration between companies and agricultural cooperatives. This structure has allowed it to offer high-added-value products, with total control over the supply chain, from the field to the industry.
Thanks to its technological capacity, Hudisa produces fruit juices, purées, and concentrates – especially strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries – for both the food industry and customers operating under their brands. In addition, the company is strongly committed to innovation in sustainability, traceability and circular economy, pillars that are currently of particular importance for European distributors in the selection of their suppliers.
Hudisa’s presence at PLMA also responds to the growing demand in the European market for plant-based, functional and clean labelling ingredients. ‘Our catalogue is ideal for brands seeking to differentiate themselves through healthier, naturally sourced formulations,’ explains Malagón. “Private label has evolved a lot in Europe, and today many chains are looking for premium, local and sustainable products. This is where Hudisa can provide great value”.
Networking, trends and innovation
Hudisa’s stand in the food hall of the RAI in Amsterdam will be a showcase for innovation and excellence in the Andalusian agri-food sector. The company will take advantage of its participation to hold commercial meetings, analyse trends in the MDD channel and strengthen ties with European distributors interested in incorporating high-quality fruit products into their own brands.
In addition to the commercial exhibition, PLMA offers conferences, seminars and networking sessions that will allow Hudisa to access the latest developments in the sector and detect opportunities for collaboration in the medium and long term.
Attendance at this fair is part of Hudisa’s international expansion plan, which envisages sustained growth in key European markets such as Germany, France, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries. In all of them, the processed fruit category is registering high demand in segments such as yoghurts, healthy snacks, desserts and private label smoothies.
Hudisa’s entry into PLMA is much more than a commercial action for Hudisa: it represents a decisive step in its internationalisation process and the reaffirmation of its commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability.
The company stresses that direct contact with international buyers will allow it to refine its value proposition, adapt its formats to the needs of the retail channel and expand its distribution network outside Spain. Furthermore, this participation will serve to reinforce Hudisa’s image as a reliable and flexible partner in the European supply chain.
“We are very excited about our presence at PLMA. It is the perfect showcase to show everything we can offer as a strategic supplier of processed fruit. We want to contribute to the growth of this channel with innovative, sustainable and top-quality products”, Malagón concludes.
