– For the second year running, the Huelva-based company has passed the audit tests that have given it the AA+ rating in BRC Food Safety (British Retail Consortium), a worldwide certification for quality and food safety.
– It has also achieved the highest qualification, Higher Level in the IFS Food certification (International Featured Standards).

Lepe, 1 July 2024. Hudisa, a company that processes and markets Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, and Blueberry purees, concentrates, and frozen fruit from the province of Huelva, has managed for the second consecutive year to pass the rigorous audit tests that give it the highest rating in two of the most demanding certifications in terms of quality and food safety: AA+ in BRC Food Safety & Higher Level in IFS Food. Thus, for yet another year, the company from Huelva has managed to position itself at the top of the food and fruit processing industry.

The BRC Food (British Retail Consortium) is a worldwide certification that focuses on aspects related to food quality and safety.  HUDISA is currently the only Spanish and European fruit puree and concentrate company to have achieved AA+, the highest rating. This is a specific standard that allows distributors and supermarkets to qualify their suppliers and guarantee the safety, quality, and legality of their food.

On the other hand, IFS Food (International Featured Standards), also of an international nature, is a standard for assessing the compliance of products and processes concerning food safety and quality. It applies to suppliers at all stages of food processing after the agricultural stage. These two standards are recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative.

BCR and IFS are two of the certifications pursued by companies in the global food industry, not only because they are the most demanding but also because passing their analyses means direct entry onto the sector’s podium.

In addition to AA+ certification in BRC Food Safety & Higher Level in IFS Food, Hudisa also has internationally recognised high food safety accreditations: SGF, CAAE, HALAL, KOSHER, and FDA.

Hudisa strives to put in place all the necessary processes to ensure food safety, food quality and safety, and environmental impact and to achieve the health, safety, and welfare of workers. The more than 1,000 farmers and companies that makeup Hudisa know and develop the necessary conditions to obtain the best fruit.
